We introduce AnchorGS, a Gaussian Splatting framework that improves reconstruction of large, flat, and textureless surfaces by anchoring optimization to explicit planar geometry priors. Using a hierarchical refinement process with plane-aware regularization and targeted densification, AnchorGS produces sharper, more geometrically accurate planar surfaces while preserving real-time performance.
